Meet the team

Meet Carla Partridge (FMAAT) Chartered Accountant (ACCA)
Owner of Partridge Accountancy Ltd (PAS)
Carla is the Lead Accountant and co-founder of Partridge Accountancy Services. An experienced accountant with FMAAT and ACCA qualifications, she has over 20 years of practicing Accountancy across a wide range of industries and businesses, from sole traders and family-run companies to large international organisations managing multi-million-pound accounts.
Before establishing Partridge Accountancy Services, Carla gained extensive experience working in international finance (Anglo American plc, London), collaborating with offices and business entities across the world. Her roles involved working with a variety of financial management systems, currencies and international teams, as well as helping to implement new accounting systems and improve financial processes.
Throughout her career, Carla has developed particular expertise in financial management, VAT, cost control and improving accounting processes.
Today, Carla brings this breadth of experience to small businesses and individuals supported by Partridge Accountancy Services. She is passionate about making accountancy feel less intimidating through relationship building and believes clients should always understand their numbers, their tax position, what is happening in their business and the ability to get prompt responses from their Accountant when required.
Carla is of Brazilian heritage and is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish, enabling Partridge Accountancy Services to support clients from a wide range of backgrounds across the UK.
When Carla is not at work she enjoys travel, Skiing, Rollerblading, spinning, hosting dinner parties and walks with her noisy (But harmless) little dog Pele.
Meet Clare McDougall (FCA) Chartered Accountant
Clare is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of experience helping businesses grow, improve performance and make confident financial decisions. Having practiced Accountancy in both South Africa and London, Clare combines a strong technical accounting background with extensive senior leadership experience across the commercial and charitable sectors.
Throughout her career, Clare has held executive positions including Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer, leading organisations through strategic growth, financial planning, governance, budgeting and operational change. This gives her a unique understanding of the challenges faced by business owners, allowing her to provide practical advice that goes far beyond compliance.
At Partridge Accountancy Services, Clare works closely with many of our limited company clients, preparing statutory accounts, advising on financial matters and supporting businesses with clear, commercially focused guidance. Her approachable manner, attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional client service make her a highly valued member of our team.
Outside of work, Clare enjoys travel, hiking with her two energetic dogs, golf, reading, drawing and yoga, and is hugely passionate about utilising her wealth of knowledge to support local communities and charities through voluntary work and leadership roles.
Meet James Partridge
Director and Co-Owner of Partridge Accountancy (PAS)
James, as Carlas Husband, has been closely involved with Partridge Accountancy Services since its earliest days. With a professional background in recruitment, sales and marketing, he helped develop the PAS brand, online presence and early marketing strategy, supporting the growth of the firm’s initial client base.
After working in customer care and client relations outside the practice, James continued to support PAS through website maintenance, IT, customer service and business planning.
He has now returned to the firm full-time and completed a one-year bookkeeping course. James leads the continued development of PAS’s digital systems, including cloud-based record-keeping, CRM and workflow management. He also supports Xero receipt processing, systems administration, client onboarding and general office operations, helping the qualified accountants remain focused on technical and advisory work.
James is also the office’s resident coffee enthusiast and takes great pride in making an excellent cup of coffee. Clients visiting the office are always welcome to put his barista skills to the test.
Outside work, James enjoys maintaining his classic Audi TT (Just as well as something is always wrong with it) walks with family, skiing, music, travel and the occasional game of tennis.
Meet Cristiane Ferreira, Office Administrator / bookkeeper
As our business has grown, Carla and Clare have become increasingly busy with clients and over time Cristiane, a fluent Portuguese speaker, has been invaluable in dealing with many of our Portuguese speaking customers, of which we are proud to declare there are many! Cristiane performs receipt matching, Bookkeeping level reconciliations and various ad hoc office Admin duties. She has a strong Bookkeeping background, does a sterling job and although she is not a fan of James' strong Barista coffee, we all agree that we would not be without her.
Outside of work, Cris enjoys arts and crafts, supporting older people in her community, and taking her dog for long walks. She also loves going out dancing and has recently joined the gym as part of her commitment to a healthier, more active lifestyle.
Meet Pele (RUFF) Head of Homeland Security.
A valued member of the team, if not a little work shy, but does like to make himself useful by barking for no apparent reason at critical times; for example, when Carla is on the phone or in a Teams meeting. He likes to think of himself as a pint sized security guard, will bark at visitors, flies, paper that has fallen onto the floor...anything really. The truth is, he is knee high to a grasshopper and has never harmed a thing. 100% bravado!
We love him all the same.
